Sakonji Urokodaki

A retired Water Breathing master who trains the next generation of demon slayers. Though has a mysterious backstory, his past as a Hashira hides an immense power. We see glimpses of his effortless domination against Tanjiro during training, but his true strength remains a secret for now.

Despite retirement, Sakonji is still dedicated to the Corps and still provided his services even after that.

Jigoro Kuwajima

Jigoro, the retired Thunder Hashira, trained under a strict regiment and gives the same to other Demon Slayer characters training under him. He saw potential in Zenitsu, who never gave up on him despite his flaws.

However, his love for his students turned to despair when Kaigaku betrayed the Corps. This tragic event ultimately led Jigoro to take his own life.

Shinjuro Rengoku

The father of Kyojuro and former Flame Hashira is a broken man. Past battles took their toll, leaving him scarred and pushing him to harshly train Kyojuro.

Despite their clashes, Shinjuro had a hidden familial love for his family members, ultimately supporting his son’s fight.

Kyojuro Rengoku

The latter former Flame Hashira, Rengoku, embodied the perfect resemblance of his Breathing Style. He stood as a beacon of determination and compassion, he protected countless lives during his time as a Hashira even protecting Kanjiro Tamado and others.

Though his time was tragically cut short, Kyojuro’s legacy cemented further dedication to other Demon Slayer characters.

Kanae Kocho

Known for her gentle spirit and unwavering resolve, Kanae served as the Flower Hashira. She wielded the Flower Breathing Style and served as a mentor to her little sister, Shinobu. Her tragic death deeply affected her sister Shinobu, who succeeded her as the next Hashira.

Tengen Uzui

The Hashira are the elite swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps. Each of them wields a unique Breathing Style and possesses incredible strength and skill.

They are the pillars and last line of defense against the demonic threats that plague every night in Japan.

Giyu Tomioka

Giyu Tomioka is a calm, stoic, and serious young man who serves as the Water Hashira. Although in denial and with a melancholic past, he is the first Hashira that Tanjiro encounters, and he plays a pivotal role in guiding Tanjiro toward the Demon Slayer Corps.

Giyu is a master of the Water Breathing Style, a versatile and powerful technique that allows him to adapt to any situation.

Mitsuri Kanroji

The Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, is known for her immense physical strength and her flowery personality. Despite her outward appearance and a sad backstory, Mitsuri is a skilled and intelligent swordsman who wields the unique Love Breathing Style.

Her blade is incredibly bendy and flexible, allowing for swift and unpredictable attacks.

Sanemi Shinazugawa

Gyomei Himejima

These are the brave warriors that although not Hashira-ranked, have immense power and possess the same resolve to destroy all demons in the world once and for all. 

Tanjiro Kamado

Tanjiro is the protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Driven by the tragic loss of his family and his sister Nezuko’s transformation into a demon, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps to find a cure for Nezuko and eradicate demons.

He may be the descendant of a powerful lineage, but he struggled through a lot to get here. Tanjiro is highly competent in using both the Water and Flame Breathing Style, although may not be as good as the Hashira Giyu, or Urokodaki.

Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko is Tanjiro’s younger sister who became a demon after a demon attack on her family. Despite her demonic nature, Nezuko retains her humanity and fights alongside Tanjiro. Down the line, she regained her humanoid ability one by one.

Nezuko possesses incredible strength and regenerative abilities, and a second form at that, making her a valuable asset in battle, especially during the Entertainment District arc.

Zenitsu Agatsuma

Cowardly on the outside, Zenitsu Agatsuma is a swordsman who travels with Tanjiro. Despite his fearfulness, Zenitsu possesses unbelievable talent and can unleash powerful Thunder Breathing attacks while unconscious.

He has a crush on Nezuko and is fiercely loyal to his friends and time after time overcomes his cowardice to protect them.

Inosuke Hashibara

Inosuke Hashibira is a wild and aggressive swordsman within the Demon Slayer characters who wears a boar mask. He fights using the unique Beast Breathing Style, a technique that mimics the movements of a wild beast.

Inosuke is seen as an independent and rogue but develops a strong friendship with Tanjiro and Zenitsu.

Kanao Tsuyuri

Kanao Tsuyuri is a skilled swordsman who fights alongside Tanjiro and Zenitsu. Due to a traumatic past, Kanao struggles to make decisions on her own and relies on a coin to decide on her actions.

She wields the Flower Breathing Style like her predecessors.

Genya Shinazugawa

Ruthless and ambitious, Genya Shinazugawa is one of the Demon Slayer characters driven by a desire for revenge against demons. He possesses a unique ability to consume demons and temporarily gain their powers.

Genya fights using a self-taught Breathing Style known as Destruction Breathing, a brutally taxing but devastating technique.

Yoriichi Tsukugumi

Though the current generation of Demon Slayer characters boasts incredible power and talent, legends whisper of a warrior who stands above them all. Yoriichi Tsugikuni is revered as the strongest demon slayer to ever exist.

His skill with the Nichirin Blade was unmatched, and the Breathing Style he wielded is said to be the source from which all other Breathing Styles originated.
