Neverness to Everness Gameplay Overview
If you’ve played open-world RPGs before, Neverness to Everness will feel familiar. Players enter a world where humans coexist with supernatural elements called Anomalies.
Hotta Studio released a 13-minute gameplay trailer detailing the game systems. Similar to other RPGs like Genshin Impact, the gameplay revolves around a four-member party system.
You can explore a world called Hethereau, whose layout is inspired by metropolises like Tokyo, London, and San Francisco. Time and weather changes—such as night, morning, and rain—are dynamically present in the game.

The Anomaly Element
Anomalies can attach to objects, entities, or locations, transforming them into negatively charged objects that cause destruction. Players must combat these Anomalies using their skills or weapons.
Sometimes, you may feel as though you’ve entered a different dimension filled with negative energy or encounter floating objects. The experience is dynamic and thrilling, enhanced by engaging missions and the vibrant urban life of the city.

Similar to GTA?
Well, this is a new level whereas an RPG game is likened to GTA. Based on the gameplay trailer released by Hotta Studio in July, players can purchase properties and vehicles in-game!
Many gamers were immediately reminded of GTA when they saw the option to buy cars and apartments. Additionally, players can customize their vehicles and even start their own businesses.
While the game is free to download, it’s expected that a top-up system will be introduced for in-game currency. So, be prepared to spend if you want to maximize your experience.
Neverness to Everness Characters
Characters are a major attraction in gacha RPGs like NTE. Interestingly, the playable characters in NTE aren’t limited to humans.
Some characters are Espers, humans with extraordinary powers and unique physical traits, such as cat ears, horns, or distinctive skin colors. Some Espers are born with their abilities, while others acquire them through training.
As of now, there are seven confirmed playable characters in NTE, with more likely to be added over time.
Nanally Coluccis
The first character revealed and featured in the gameplay trailer. This calm and kind Esper is a rising star in Hethereau. Nanally has participated in large-scale Anomaly eradication operations, such as Danzaburou’s Revenge and Fluffy Demon King Showdown. Her ultimate move, Coluccis Ultimate Death Shadow Nether Punch, can incapacitate all enemies in one strike.
Mint
A blue-haired character from Containment Unit 2, Mint is a walking encyclopedia of Hethereau, knowing every place and person in the urban city. She’s bound to become a fan favorite.
Sakiri
Though Sakiri appears as a child with horns, she wields a powerful Anomaly hammer called Kiroumaru. Pro tip: don’t make her angry or open the third fridge door!
Taygedo
A character resembling a squirrel with a TV-shaped head. Taygedo is a soft-spoken Oddity and the third-place winner of Eibon’s Best Restorer. Despite its only word known to him is “taygedo~~taygedo,” this unique character is sure to be fun to play.
Hotori
An elegant character who owns an antique shop called Eibon. Hotori appears human, but her supernatural powers remain a mystery.
Lacrimosa
A tomato enthusiast who dreams of sleeping on a bed of tomatoes and living in a tomato palace. With dual monochrome hair, Lacrimosa stands out as a quirky character.
Fadia
A purple-haired character whose abilities remain unknown. However, it’s speculated that Fadia has a sharp tongue.
System Requirements for NTE
According to the NTE Discord community, the game will be available on PC, console, and mobile platforms. However, detailed system requirements haven’t been announced yet.
Given its advanced technology, like Unreal Engine 5, players will likely need high-spec devices, such as Snapdragon 800+ for mobile.
Neverness to Everness Predicted Release Date
There’s no official release date yet. However, Hotta Studio recently conducted a Closed Beta Test (CBT) for PC in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau in November 2024.
It’s predicted that NTE could launch after Q3 2025 or later, as the game still requires extensive testing.

Moreover, the developers have removed the portal system for transitioning between areas, enhancing the seamlessness of exploration. The supernatural elements and unique gameplay make NTE a highly anticipated title.
However, some gamers are skeptical about Hotta Studio’s ability to maintain quality, citing issues with Tower of Fantasy, which faced bugs and server problems upon its 2021 release.
